Overview
When your Portuguese residence permit is close to expiring, it must be renewed with AIMA (the Agency for Integration, Migration and Asylum). We handle the renewal for you through the official Portal das Renovações when your legal basis is unchanged (€250), or coordinate the in-person route when your legal basis has changed (€600). This service is for non-EU/EEA residence-permit holders: EU, EEA and Swiss citizens do not renew this way — after five years of residence their route is permanent residence, which we handle separately.
- Residents whose permit is expiring or has recently expired
- Anyone renewing on the same legal basis who wants it filed correctly online
- People whose situation has changed and who need the in-person route handled

Frequently Asked Questions
The €250 online renewal applies when your legal basis is unchanged and can be filed through the Portal das Renovações. The €600 in-person option applies when your legal basis has changed and an in-person process is required.
Often yes, within the permitted grace period. Send us your details and we will confirm whether online renewal is still possible for your case.
No. This is a facilitation service: we prepare and submit your renewal correctly and represent your file, but the decision rests with AIMA and cannot be guaranteed.
The standard AIMA renewal fee for a temporary permit is around €440 per person under the 2026 fee table, paid by you via the DUC we provide. It is separate from our service fee, and can differ for other permit types.
